When you think of India, do you imagine vivid colours, diversity, lots of festivals, and incredible architecture? It’s all of this and so much more, but what is not so obvious about the country is the prevalence of HIV/AIDS.

Our placements in India offer the opportunity to experience this first hand, while using your creativity and skills to provide stable, loving homes to children affected by HIV/AIDS. We encourage anyone with an artistic flare to apply to join our incredibly vibrant and wholesome placements in India.

We have helped artists visit and produce wonderful creative projects at our partner organisations in India. We cannot deny it, India should be on everyone’s bucket list, and the opportunity to live with a local, like a local and make friends with everyone you meet cannot be missed.

We have worked with our project partners in India for over twenty years. We have helped them set up and survive through thick and thin. We have supported education and women’s empowerment, as well as creativity and medical advancement with HIV treatment and monitoring.

You will stay with a host family, and experience a very unique India. Vocational Impact adds the personal touch, and you will feel like a true VIP in this country of magic and mystery.

You will be working Monday – Friday, but you can have weekends off to explore this beautiful country. The longer you go for, the more you can explore.

During your placement with Vocational Impact, you will be hosted by a local India family. This is a very unique opportunity to learn about the culture from a local family, as well as eat local India cuisine and gain valuable insight into life in India. You will have a private bedroom, and a bathroom, equipped with a shower. There will be a communal living area and kitchen. You can also choose to stay at a shared apartment locally, depending on group sizes, which will have a hot shower, WIFI, kitchen and tea/coffee.
