HOW IT WORKS

SELECT YOUR LOCATION

We work with a wonderful selection of projects around the world, including Africa, India and more.

If you aren’t sure about how to choose your location, speak to one of the Vocational Impact team, who will be able to help you.

We will help you select the best placement for you, your skill set and your ambitions. We carefully analyse your experience and link you with one of the projects we partner with, and then tailor the placement to your goals.

Travel for as long as you want, with your friends, or by yourself and make friends along the way.

SECURE YOUR PROGRAMME

Once you have selected your placement and location, and had all your questions answered by one of the Vocational Impact team, the next thing to do is pay your £265 deposit. This will reserve your dates and confirm your placement with Vocational Impact.

You can spread the cost of the full donation fees by breaking it down into smaller installments. As long as the full balance is paid 60 days before your departure, then you have plenty of time to raise the funds.

PRE-DEPARTURE PREPARATION

You will then enter into our highly recommended support journey leading up to your departure date which will include pre-departure interviews with your coordinator, travel guides and tips sent to you, placement tailoring, advice on fundraising and preparing for your trip. You will be assigned a support manager and by the time you set off on your adventure, you will be very prepared.

We will help you with all your paperwork and visa applications, and we can even advise on packing and weekend trips. You will be given a checklist to work through, including travel insurance and placement objectives.

YOUR PROGRAMME

Even before you travel your placement preparation will begin as we start to tailor your placement around your goals and ambitions and start planning your time spent in-country.

Our aim is by the time you arrive at your project, you will be ready to hit the ground running. Whether you are doing a 4 week psychology placement internship, 6 week sports development work experience or a 4 month medical elective, we will map your placement with you and support you from start to finish.

We are partnered with outstanding NGOs and international charities, working on incredible initiatives and we are confident that your placement will give you new opportunities and experience.

ADVENTURE AND EXPLORING

You will be travelling to a new country, with a world of new experience to embrace. You will have weekends and evenings to explore, and we encourage you to take in every aspect of your new surroundings.

You might dream of trekking through historic primary rainforests, surfing on the west African sea, or going on a safari…this is your chance to test yourself, and expand your horizons.

We will guide you and inform you of all the possibilities, and your in-country manager will help you organise any trips.

Time to get excited!
