Compassionate and dedicated to helping orphans and children who are affected by the HIVAIDS pandemic in India and Africa Ellie Milner shares her skills to fund raise through the industry that started her working following her passion for music.
Previous working experiences took Ellie on a journey through music promotions and management working with luminaries including Neneh Cherry and Massive Attack. Ellie worked on the Red Hot and Blue and Red Hot and Dance projects which produced albums and Documentaries to raise funds for HIV/AIDS raising over $10 million. Ellie went on to develop and expand a currently thriving music department offering musical performance and music technology courses in an FE college in the South of England. This fitted perfectly with adding 2 boys Moses and Nelson to her family.
Ellie used her skills to support the successful fundraising Black Ball events in New York hosted by Alicia Keys for Keep a Child Alive and after a few years working remotely with KCA in New York Ellie set up a UK registered charity for Keep a Child Alive. In 2008 the first Black Ball London raised funds for sites in India and Africa. 2012 saw the change of name from Keep a Child Alive to Arms Around The Child and a shift in focus to more direct care for orphans and children affected by HIV/AIDS crisis providing loving homes, surrounding care, love, hope and respect.
