Satara Newman is a University of Portsmouth Student who has taken a year out of study to get experience in the work place. She is currently studying International Development with a focus on Africa. She has had past volunteer experience in Uganda and at home in the UK. Satara took the first couple of months of her placement to get experience with our partner organisations in South Africa. Here she applied her knowledge to the field work at Bobbi Bear and the admin side of a charity at Nkosi's Haven. Satara has been fortunate enough to travel extensively and has specific links in South Africa. This is helping her with the second element of her placement as part of our team in the UK. She is excited to be learning whilst on the job and is continuing to develop her understanding of working with charities
